Riccardo Realfonzo (Naples, 1964) is Full Professor of Political Economy at the Università del Sannio, where he also served as Director of the Dipartimento di Analisi dei Sistemi Economici e Sociali. A Keynesian economist, he has twice served as technical councillor for the budget and publicly owned companies of the Comune di Napoli. He was also President of the independent evaluation body of Regione Campania and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cometa pension fund (from 2021 to 2024). Since 2015 he has been Director of the Scuola di Governo del Territorio. He currently serves as coordinator of the Technical Committee of Assofondipensione and President of the Perseo Sirio public administration pension fund. Since 2022 he has been a member of the Steering Council of the Fondazione Teatro di San Carlo di Napoli. In 2008 he founded the journal economiaepolitica.it, which he still directs today. The author of books and more than 100 essays on macroeconomics, monetary economics, and labour economics, published in national and international academic journals, he has also made numerous contributions to the debate on economic policy, including in the pages of the Financial Times and Il Sole 24 Ore.

The National Committee for the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of the birth of Elvira Coda Notari was established with the aim of restoring the first woman director in Italian cinema, and her work, to their rightful central place.
